Safety: Our Absolute Priority
At Skydive Bahamas Adventures, safety isn’t just a checklist—it’s the foundation of our culture. We operate under the rigorous safety standards of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Bahamas (CAAB).
When you fly with us, you are backed by the best technology in the industry and a team dedicated to operational excellence.

Frequently Asked Questions
✈️ The Aircraft: N5953B
Our primary jump plane, a 1957 Cessna 182A, has been specifically engineered for the unique demands of skydiving. We have invested in high-performance modifications that provide an extra margin of safety:
Real-Time Monitoring: Equipped with a JPI Engine Monitor and SkyBeacon ADS-B, our pilots have precise, real-time data on every aspect of the flight and surrounding airspace.
Horton STOL Kit: This “Short Take-Off and Landing” kit includes a cambered leading edge and stall fences, allowing the aircraft to maintain stability and control at much lower speeds than a standard plane.
WingX Tip Extensions: By increasing our wingspan, we gain more lift and lateral stability, ensuring smooth flight characteristics during climb-out and exit.
Texas Skyways Engine Conversion: Our Continental O-550-F20B engine provides superior power-to-weight performance, getting you to altitude quickly and reliably.
🪂 The Gear: Your Life-Saving Backups
Every skydiving rig used at our facility is a “dual-parachute” system. We utilize modern, high-performance equipment that is inspected and maintained by FAA-certified parachute riggers.
1. The Automatic Activation Device (AAD)
Every tandem rig is equipped with an AAD (a micro-computer located inside the parachute container). If, for any reason, a parachute is not deployed by a certain altitude, the AAD will automatically fire to deploy the reserve canopy. It is the ultimate “safety net.”
2. The Reserve Parachute
In the highly unlikely event of a malfunction with the main canopy, every rig contains a second “reserve” parachute. Reserve parachutes are packed with extreme precision and are only handled by certified professionals.
👨✈️ Professional Standards
Certified Instructors: All our tandem masters hold current USPA ratings. They have undergone thousands of jumps and rigorous training to manage every aspect of your experience.
Sober Skydiving Policy: We maintain a strict 0% tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs. To ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, no person may jump within 8 hours of consuming alcohol.
Medical Fitness: Skydiving is an active sport. We ensure all participants meet the age (18+) and weight requirements (typically under 230 lbs) to ensure the gear performs exactly as the manufacturers intended.
🌤️ Weather & Environmental Safety
The Bahamas offers some of the best flying weather in the world, but we never gamble with conditions.
Wind Limits: We monitor ground and altitude winds constantly. If winds exceed our safety thresholds for beach landings, we will reschedule your jump at no additional cost.
Cloud Clearance: Following FAA FAR 105.17, we do not jump through clouds. If visibility is compromised, we wait for a clear window.
